Our Events

elly large.jpg (6733 bytes)Although the group only has around 90 members, the varied interests of the members ensure that we can cover a multitude of aspects of the period.

The Tudor Group prides itself in being 'not just another re-enactment group' and we enjoy taking on challenging events. Events such as 'The Tudor Wedding' at Mulchenly Abbey illustrated the publics' attraction to purely domestic recreations; 'A Sheep Shearing' at Mary Arden's House showed our prowess in animal husbandry and our 'Bake Oven' at History in Action III showed our willingness to put significant amounts of effort into a small display.

The varied interests of members ensure flexible presentations and many topics can be covered in detail that are as diverse as: Domestic Life, Social History, Trained Bandes, Land & Animal Husbandry, Shoemaking, White-Smithing, Dyeing, Carpentry, Pottery, Social Etiquette, Tailoring, Music, Dance and Seamanship, to name but a few.

The group can provide a large variety of formats from single person talks, demonstrations or lectures, to large communities interacting with each other and the general public.

The varied interests and individual research which is fed back into the membership enables the group to tackle many different styles and subjects in their historical interpretation.
