The Tailors

The top of the main staircase of the Victoria and Albert museum was refitted as a tailors workshop, complete with tables, benches, coffers, painted cloth hangings and rush mats.

Here you can see Jon as the journeyman hemming a part of a silk doublet. The presentation was a mixture of practical demonstration and presentations on tailoring trade; the economics; fashions and material culture.
