The house we used at St Fagans was built in 1508. It has a central hearth so is rather out of date by 1580; even in Conway where it was originally built.
We try not to over furnish the property and limit the kitchen equipment to a frying pan;treen ware and a few clay pots, cups and bowls.
This is the living room and kitchen and shows all the furnishings we chose to place in this room except another rush mat and two more benches.
The bedroom has straw mattresses on a wooden board to raise them off the floor.
