Here we set out a few of the more gentle games and invited the public to learn and play a few of them.
Simon taught games such as chess; Irish ( a form of backgammon); cards and Hazzard - a gambling dice game - he resisted fleecing the public and we dealt only with replica coinage loaned for the purpose.Photographer: Johnnie Rutter
