An Unlicensed Ordinary

The Private Room

Avoncroft (2003)

The table of a private room laid out as if a gentleman is dealing in his accounts.

The cloth on the table is a travelling Counting Board; none survive but this one is taken from a period publication called - The Booke of Compting.

On the table is also his quill case, some playing cards, a pile of napery for him and some plates, both pewter and blue and white Southwark Ware.
