A Trayned Bandes Archer - In his common coat

The Weald and Downland Museum (2005)

The evidence is quite clear that at certain times and locations the embers of county Trayned Bandes were issuesd with coats of matching colours.

However the documentation also indicates that during periods where the Bandes were not a focus of attention their equipment and clothing rapidly deteriorated.

Here we see a member of the Bandes who has to wear his own coat.
