People at Work

None of the members of The Group shy away from hard work. We believe that you have to at least try all the things that you are talking about to understand some of the issues.

We have investigated a wide variety of skills, refined ones such as embroidery and stillroom through domestic skills such as ruff-setting; laundering and dairy through common trades such as tailoring; gloving and blacksmithing to some very unsavoury ones such as tanning; baleen working (for which we have a research license) and tallower.

These pictures will hopefully give you a taste of the variety of both domestic skills and semi-industrial crafts we include within the group.
