The Tudor Wedding was a portrayl of a typical country wedding of the latter 16th century. Despite being a mock ceremony, Emma, who portrayed the bride was extremely nervous. The groom ( Keith ) being "volunteered" at short notice was also hesitant and required significant "Dutch Courage". What with a nervous bride and hesitant groom many of the public thought it was a real wedding and were not convinced otherwise !.
The wedding was a demonstration of how sucessful non-military re-enactment can be. Infact in respect to re-enactment and public to participant ratio it is still English Heritage\'s best event. Public came from all over the country to see this event, which took part in the middle of rural Somerset. Families from Norwich stayed at B&B for the weekend, so that they could witness the wedding practise on the Saturday and the wedding on the Sunday.
Two national wedding magazines were present and a national newspaper interviewed the bride & groom.
