A Pyper - The Tudor Wedding - Mulchenley Abbey

We are fortunate in having a large number of musicians. Because we enjoy the musical aspect, we often play at events, either at set times or impromptu. All the instruments we play a faithful reproductions based upon lower class instruments of the Elizabethan era.

The Tudor Wedding was a demonstration of how sucessful non-military re-enactment can be. Infact in respect to re-enactment and public to participant ratio it is still English Heritage's best event. Public came from all over the country to see this event, which took part in the middle of rural Somerset. Families from Norwich stayed at B&B for the weekend, so that they could witness the wedding practise on the Saturday and the wedding on the Sunday.

Two national wedding magazines were present and a national newspaper interviewed the bride & groom.
