One of the local inhabitants is talking to one of the serving girls; probably a relation of the licensee.
From the picture it looks like she has made a mistake with an order.
We ran the alehouse using reproduction coinage and a slate for some of the locals. All food and drink was fetched by the members of the group who were servants (they ALL volunteered for the job !). So needless to say, mistakes were made with some orders; no harm done (the two in this picture are in reality mother & daughter anyway).
